Suppose you want to shade the part bounded by X= -3 and X= 3 of the graph of the equation given below

Step 01: Take some random value of x which is larger in range than the area to be shaded (X= -3 to X= 3)

Step 02: To get the corresponding values of y input the following formula in cell C3 and AutoFill

=-B3^3+20

Step 03: Create a new row named Shade Part and copy the corresponding values of y for x = -3 to x = 3,  applying the following formula in cell D5. AutoFill upto  row 11

Step 04: Select the range B2:D13 and navigate to the Inset tab.

Step 05: Create a chart by clicking on ‘’Scatter with the smooth lines and markers’’ chart from the chart section

Step 07: Click on the change chart type
