How to Plot Trigonometric Functions in Excel

You can plot trigonometric functions in Excel by creating a data table with value of angle in degrees and values of the trigonometric function for corresponding angles , and then using the built-in charting tools to create a chart. 

Here we will demonstrate the steps to plot a Sine wave in Excel

Step 01: Create a column of Degrees and enter 0 in cell B3

Step 02: Input the following formula in cell B4. Press Enter and AutoFill upto Cell B15

=B3+30 

Step 03: In cell C3,  insert the following formula 

=SIN(RADIANS(B3))

Step 04: Press Enter, then AutoFill

Step 05: Then, select both columns of data

Step 06: Navigate to the Insert tab

Step 07: From the Charts section, Select Scatter Chart

In this graph, the x-axis contains the value of angles in degree

And y-axis contains the sine value of the angles

Similarly, You can plot all other trigonometric functions(eg. cos, tan, etc.) in Excel
